talk me out of everything

Local Natives – Heavy Feet

This fantastic documentary entitled “The Ecstatic Flight of The Llandow Visually Impaired Harriers” is just the sort of total bummer we love.

Day Joy – Go To Sleep, Mess

Also in the total bummer category, we watch a man send shockwaves back through his past as he destroys his future. A punch to the gut that won’t be soon to leave you.

Flume f/ Chet Faker – Left Alone

We’ll finish out riding the bummer wave with this weirdly intimate video whose song doesn’t exactly conjure rainbows and kittens.

young empires mix

Young Empires is on tour and coming to Madison and we asked them to make us a mixtape before their show on Wednesday, February 6th at The Frequency. The band’s contribution turned out better than we could hope for, expertly mixed and with an amazing flow. We’ve been sitting on the mix for a week waiting for the track list and a name, but we can’t keep it from you any longer. Give it a listen, get pumped, and check back to see if we were able to fill in the gaps of what we couldn’t sleuth out. When we released the mix earlier this week we didn’t have a full track list, but we’ve got it now and are further impressed with its expert craft. Please enjoy and let us know what you think (and be sure to give the boys a big thank you for giving us such a wonderful mix)!
