favorites of 2010: the forgotten

The problem with making any sort of list is you inevitably forget something. We are not immune. After publishing our Favorites of 2010 list, we of course came up with a handful of things we should have included. In no particular order, they are:

Band of Horses – Infinite Arms
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – The Brutalist Bricks
The National – High Violet
Peter Gabriel – Heroes
The Whigs – Black Lotus
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros – Home*

After publishing this, we’ll probably think of twenty more things, but we’ve got to draw the line somewhere.

*Though released in 2009, it really got its legs in 2010 so we’re counting it anyway.

Finding music videos so you don’t have to sit through twelve hours of bad dating shows to find them yourself.

Band of Horses – No One’s Gonna Love You (surf tackles, candy glass, the Clapper)
Born Ruffians – I Need A Life (classic and new at the same time)
DeVotchKa – The Clockwise Witness (Live on Conan) (making us realize the tuba is under-utilized)
Frightened Rabbit – Head Rolls Off (elementary schools would benefit from in-house rock bands)
The Dodos – Fools (acoustic tunes are rarely this intense)
