For the Fourth of July we decided to use a hackneyed theme to make a decent mixtape. Every song has something about America or the USA in its title or artist name, they’re all songs you’ve probably heard, and there are thirteen of them to represent the colonies. Is it groundbreaking? We first heard Brave Baby about about a little over a year ago here at M|H and it was love at first listen. “Lakeside Trust” is one of the best songs to have come out in the last few years, catchy as all get out. When we saw that Brave Baby was coming to Madison as part of the Communion Madison club night series we asked them to make us a mixtape. A mobile mail mishap kept us from getting their mix up before the show, but we’re pleased to present it for your enjoyment now. For Valentine’s Day we wanted to make you a mix that works equally well for those sharing tender moments with their lover and those sharing tender moments with a pint of ice cream.  I Am Yours Now contains nothing but love songs, though, to be fair, some are actually about love lost. We do have heartbreak in our name, after all. Whether you plan to end your night with a sweet snuggle or a good cry, this mix is for you.
