favorites of 2010: the forgotten

The problem with making any sort of list is you inevitably forget something. We are not immune. After publishing our Favorites of 2010 list, we of course came up with a handful of things we should have included. In no particular order, they are:

Band of Horses – Infinite Arms
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – The Brutalist Bricks
The National – High Violet
Peter Gabriel – Heroes
The Whigs – Black Lotus
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros – Home*

After publishing this, we’ll probably think of twenty more things, but we’ve got to draw the line somewhere.

*Though released in 2009, it really got its legs in 2010 so we’re counting it anyway.

How could you have forgotten The National? Shame on you!

    Local Natives – Gorilla Manor

The UK release was 2 November 2009 and never made a best of list. The US release was 16 February 2010, but wasn’t considered a 2010 album because everyone had already illegally copped it from the UK in a matter of a month, it was that good.

    Never draw the line!

Yep, you can delete my last comment, haha.

You’re the first person I’ve seen to have Gorilla Manor on the list. My life is saved!

Haha, one of the benefits of running my own site is I get to make up the rules. It’s served me well.
